How and Why You Are Evaluated (The 4 Skills)
1. Compréhension de l’oral (Listening Comprehension) – 25 pts
TIP: Don’t try to understand every word. Listen for the key vocabulary from the themes above.
2. Compréhension des écrits (Reading Comprehension) – 25 pts
TIP: Practice with real-world materials: look at French product labels, simple websites, or weather forecasts online.
3. Production écrite (Written Production) – 25 pts
EVALUATION CRITERIA:
Task Completion: Did you answer the question and provide all required information?
Linguistic Range/Accuracy: Can you use the basic vocabulary and simple sentence structures (subject + verb + object) correctly?
TIP: Memorize the phrases needed to fill out a form (Nom [Last Name/Surname], Prénom [First Name], Date de naissance [Date of Birth], Adresse [Address]).
4. Production orale (Speaking Production) – 25 pts
HOW: A three-part test in front of two examiners (10-12 minutes total):
Guided Conversation: Answer simple questions about you.
Exchanging Information: You ask and answer simple questions based on prompts (e.g., “Ask the price of the shirt,” “Ask what time the cinema opens”).
Role-play: Simulate a very simple daily situation.
